DeSantis Takes Clinton Cash, Spits In Trump’s Face

Congressman Ron DeSantis’ hollow campaign for Governor has reached a new low.

By Jacob Engels

As first reported by Politico’s intrepid reporter Matt Dixon, a Ron DeSantis political committee has received $200,000 in CLINTON CASH. Campaign finance records show that Democratic mega-donor, and top-tier Hillary Clinton booster Andy Khawaja, has directed $100,000 of his personal fortune and another $100,000 to a DeSantis political committee.

Politico also notes that DeSantis’ new financial booster donated over $6million to Democratic candidates in 2016, including a whopping $1million to a political committee backing Hillary Clinton’s pathetically bad bid against Donald Trump.

The revelation of DeSantis accepting cash from a Clinton fanboy comes months after the Central Florida Post exposed his vote in support of food stamps for illegal immigrants and his connection to another liberal moneyman… the infamous George Soros.

While his campaign has tried to spin this donation as “sign” that Clinton Democrats believe that Congressman DeSantis is the right guy to lead Florida… that is bullshit.

First off, why would you want to highlight and accept money from a Clinton mega-donor, to the tune of $200,000, in a hotly contested GOP primary? Second, the donor is a special interest swamp creature who seeks access and influence by donating large amounts. Ron claims he is helping Trump drain the swamp… but how does one do so while accepting money from a swamp creature and Clinton mega-donor?

Taking money from a man who gave millions upon millions to destroy Donald Trump and his family in 2016 is a sign of how desperate Ron DeSantis is. He lies about being endorsed by President Trump, which he is not, and seems to think it’s okay to take Clinton cash.

Ron DeSantis is no Donald Trump, no matter how desperately he and his campaign team want Florida Republicans to believe that to be true. Trump campaigned among the common man and women across the United States, while also giving hundreds of interviews to friendly and hostile news media.

Congressman DeSantis runs his campaign from DC or NYC greenrooms, refuses to partake in public events with everyday Floridians, relies on George Soros for political protection for his rotten voting record in Congress, and is now an unapologetic recipient of special interests cash from a Clinton mega-donor.

Central Florida Trump activists and mega-donors rescinded their support for DeSantis’ bid for Governor late last week, after the Congressman’s refusal to hold public events and interact with early members of the Trump movement.

Ron DeSantis should immediately return the money and come clean about his relationship with George Soros and Clinton mega-donor Andy Khawaja. Otherwise, it’s becoming increasingly harder for members of the Trump movement to take him seriously as a candidate for Governor in Florida.
