Former Longwood Mayor Joe Durso has received the endorsement of the Seminole County Professional Fire Fighters in his campaign for Seminole County Commission, District 4.

“After getting to know Mr. Durso and his record, the firefighters believe he is the best candidate in the race to keep the public safe – and his experience has proven this,” said Jon DiVita, President of the Seminole County Professional Fire Fighters.

“I am honored and grateful to have the support of the brave men and women who serve the residents of Seminole County. We are so proud of the job they do and the sacrifices they make every single day to keep our county safe,” said Durso.

As a Vice President of CBC of Central Florida, Joe has spent the past 14 years fighting for abused and neglected children, their families and other vulnerable groups in communities throughout Central Florida.

Making history as the youngest Mayor ever elected in Longwood, Durso brought innovative solutions and his ability to make tough decisions to meet the needs of a diverse and growing county.

His leadership in Longwood has led to unprecedented economic growth, a higher quality of life, and a city rated one of the Top 10 safest cities in Florida.
