Orlando Women’s March Was Anything But Tolerant

The mainstream media claims the Orlando Women’s March was a peaceful family event, which is far from the truth.

On Sunday, I attended the Orlando Women’s March held at the bandshell on Lake Eola with the local chapter of the Proud Boys, a pro Western fraternal organization created by VICE co-founder Gavin McInnes.

At a rally where most in attendance want unguarded borders and illegal immigrants needs prioritized over Americans, I expected some choice words.

People tend to get hot under the collar when you challenge their ideas in real-time and at events where they only want to hear what they want to hear. However, the behavior from these self-labeled “nasty women” was beyond nasty and downright insane.

As someone who spoke at the 6,000+ attendee Orlando Tea Party rally at Lake Eola in 2009, I am well aware that the free speech rights of the permit holders are as important as the free speech rights of anyone else who shows up to peacefully assemble. People showed up to heckle in 2009, and they were allowed to do so in relative peace.

The Orlando Women’s March was entirely different. From the moment the Proud Boys arrived, they were met with unhinged outburst and threats of violence from the “tolerant” and “peaceful” people of the Women’s March.

Officers from the Orlando Police Department claimed they were obstructing the sidewalk and would be arrested if they did not relocate. Instead of bucking the request from law enforcement, they moved to an area by the swan boats and Relax Grill.

OPD refused to discuss why they were unequally applying city rules about obstructing sidewalks, even after I called the Public Information Officer on duty. She stated that I could email her questions, but that OPD would be unwilling to comment on or justify their double standard.

Several minutes later, I arrived with my Don’t Tread On Me gay pride flag, which caused confusion and mental breakdowns from hundreds. At first, people thought I was there to support the Women’s March, but quickly realized the meaning of the flag and launched into delusional tirades.

Liberty and freedom above all else did not sit well with this crowd.

People claimed I was an actor paid to pretend to be a gay man supporting conservative ideals. Others cut right to the chase and wished me death and disease. It is okay to be gay, but only if you vote straight Democrat.

For those that do not know, I am a proud gay conservative who protested radical Islam at the March Against Sharia last year.

I also protested against the hatred of Westboro Baptist Church when they came to town.

Back to the hate from the Women’s March. This close mindedness was coming from a group of people claiming to care about tolerance, inclusion, and the freedom to vocalize political beliefs without persecution. Many people identified as socialists or communists and argued that illegal immigrants had more of a right to America’s resources than actual Americans.

Never mind the homeless veterans and Americans living without a pot to piss in or window to throw it out. The guys and gals who came here illegally are more important…

Proud Boys stood with signs that said “Socialism Is Theft” and “Socialist Countries Are Shitholes”, along with a few other blunt salvos. In response, mindless marchers would spit and shout for nearly three hours straight.

From chanting incoherently about impeaching Trump to launching into vulgar insults, tolerance was nowhere to be found. When I attempted to have a serious political discussion with them, 90% would refuse and start screaming about Hitler and how Hillary would become President soon.

A few older hippies graced us with some great intellectual and philosophical conversation.

At the same time, a deranged man would walk by every thirty minutes screeching, calling us commies and pedophiles. Ironically enough, he looked like a former resident of Tampa’s notorious “Pervert Park.” It was entertaining and frightening at the same time.

Over the course of our residency across from the Relax Grill, Dylan Tyer and his UCF campus group, Knights for Socialism, were skulking around trying to provoke violence and intimidate.

Their insults were the most juvenile and unoriginal. More often than not, they would grunt and groan as they repeated everything we said.

Socialism and communism rules they proclaimed, never mind the 100 million+ killed under socialist and communist regimes in the past 120 years.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Just as the mainstream media does to Trump, the #Resist crowd went down the list of accusing us of racism, bigotry, homophobia, Nazism… the whole bit. When confronted with the idea of having an actual conversation or providing evidence to substantiate their claims, they would return to their screeching or suddenly become mute.

If they said NOT MY PRESIDENT or IMPEACH TRUMP enough, Hillary Clinton would become Commander in Chief!

Not surprisingly, the Knights for Socialism, who we exposed for holding an event where they encouraged grade school children to “kill” effigies of President Trump and other administration officials, returned shortly before the end of the march desperate for violence.

They also advertised a “Bash The Fash” leftist fight-club where they trained members on how to attack anyone they determined was a Nazi or Fascist.

Looking for trouble and determined to find it, KFS founder Dylan Tyer broke ranks with a few of his goons to try and provoke violence by standing right on top of me and the Proud Boys.

I turned around to pat him on the shoulder and say hello, hoping to diffuse the situation, even tried to shake his hand. Mr. Tyer instead convulsed and warned me that he wanted to “fucking punch me.”

And that is when someone got injured.

In a last-ditch attempt to show his group how devoted he was, Tyer attempted to rip my flag off the pole and failed. On the second attempt, he grabbed the flag so hard that the pole slapped down on his followers head.

A nasty gash, but not my fault.

His stupidity left his friend bleeding out on the brick pavement, frightening tourists trying to pay for their swan boat ride. Shameful, sad, and stupid.

The Orlando Women’s March had great potential to take their message not only to their most ardent supporters, but also to anyone else visiting Lake Eola that day. Instead of showing true tolerance and the ability to engage with others in peaceful political discourse, they picked insults and violence.

They don’t want tolerance all around, just tolerance for the ideas and beliefs that they hold. That is hypocritical and counter to the core of what it means to be an American.

If you can’t tolerate differing viewpoints without claiming someone is a Nazi or devolving to physical violence, what your “fighting” for must not be very enticing.

And that’s the point. Socialists and Communists have a long history of using censorship, intimidation, violence, and destruction of personal property as means of silencing their opponents.

The Orlando Women’s March was a missed opportunity for the progressive movement and I hate that. The American people deserve better and we should demand more from the Alt-Left.

2018 should be a fair competition, not one dominated by more violence and intolerance from progressives unhappy about the outcome of the 2016 elections.
