From having only 9-stools in their restaurant, to showcasing an 80ft long oyster bar for up to 50 people, Lee and Rick’s Oyster Bar has come a long way in the past 67 years.
For almost seven decades now, Lee and Rick’s has delighted Central Florida residents with their uniquely themed restaurant. Their storefront is designed like a boat and the aesthetic carries inside, where you’ll find nautically inspired everything.
Anchors and captain’s hats adorn the walls, creating a truly authentic and fun environment. The detail in design throughout the restaurant is so well done that you truly feel as if you’re by the water.
Lee and Rick’s is great for grabbing a drink with a friend along the oyster bar, or for dinner with your family in one of their tables or booths. Staff actually shucks your oysters in front of you, along their bar. The oysters are a display and a treat, served raw or steamed.
But, their menu is not limited to oysters alone. Lee and Rick’s also features these tasty and fresh Alaskan King Crab legs, crawfish, shrimp. Guests are served their own rack of saltines when seated, which Floridians and seafood lovers recognize as a staple accompaniment to a fishy meal.
Excellent atmosphere, delicious food, and it doesn’t stop there! The best part of the oyster bar is their staff. Currently owned and operated by the founder’s oldest son, you can truly feel the difference of “family-style” service, versus what you can get elsewhere.
The servers wear big smiles, have high energy and warmth. You can’t get that from poorly treated, overtired, or overworked people.
It’s clear in your dining experience that the owner values his employees immensely and is working to protect this treasure we’ve been blessed with since 1950.
