The first week of April will start with April Fools day and end with the Brown Liquor Music Festival on Saturday, April 8th. Promoter Lewis Brutus is organizing the event with Music and Liquor Distributors Entertainment. It promises dozens of different brown liquor choices, a full bar, and food vendors. It will be held at Orlando Festival Park on 2911 E. Robinson Street in the heart of Downtown Orlando.

Mr. Brutus was kind enough to sit down with us and share a little more about the Brown Liquor Music Festival last week. Read that Q&A below and buy tickets by clicking here.

What types of liquor will the BLMF have available and we heard about food vendors?

No matter what you consider to be your “favorite” food, we will have it on deck. Fried seafood, authentic cheese steaks, Mediterranean cuisine, slow cooked BBQ, homemade ice cream, and the list goes on.

As far as our liquor options, we are still finalizing the menu. Currently, we will have a wide variety of brown liquor staples: Rum, Whiskey, Scotch, Bourbon, and more. Right now, we are securing partnerships with Florida and Orlando based distilleries to provide a special “Local Taste” package. This is a family friendly event and will feature a special Kids Zone. Everyone is encouraged to bring out their folding chairs, tents. Our goal is to have our guests enjoy the food, liquor, and music in their own way.

Tell us about the current lineup of performers and how people looking to join the BLMF can reach out?

Our lineup is currently being headlined by chart-topping R&B legend Rome and international Hip Hop sensation ENT DISTRIKT. Two great talents who are some of the deliver truly legendary live performances. Danny Clay, who gained fame working with Tyler Perry is also attending. We are going to announce the rest of the bill in the coming weeks, and have been focusing on locking down some of Central Florida’s best local musicians. R&B, Hip Hop, Blues, Southern Jazz.

Lastly and most importantly – how can people buy tickets and learn more?

Our Facebook page is the best place for additional information and the many exciting updates that we will post before April 8th. It’s all coming together very quickly and we can’t wait for everyone to share in the fun.
