Ripken Baseball, in partnership with Sports Authority, one of the largest full-line sporting goods retailers in the United States and Puerto Rico, are collaborating to host two free youth Baseball Field Days throughout Orlando and St. Petersburg, Florida. Each Field Day clinic will provide participants with team training exercises that incorporate educational lessons and encompass the joys of baseball.

“We are thrilled to once again partner with Sports Authority for the opportunity to give back to our youth around the country,” said Colin Clark, Vice President of Brand Marketing for Ripken Baseball. “These clinics are a terrific way to provide young ballplayers with the proper fundamentals of the game and the value of playing the Ripken Way.”

All registered Field Day participants will receive on-field instruction from Ripken Baseball coaches and engage in a variety of skill stations focused on infield, outfield, pitching, hitting and agility fundamentals. Additionally, representatives from esteemed brands in baseball, including Under Armour, Easton, Rawlings and Wilson, will be on-site to showcase latest products and innovations at the free vendor expo.

Players and members of the community can also visit the vendor expo for professional fittings, games, prizes and much more. “Providing meaningful youth programs that allow players to learn and play the game they love is incredibly important to us,” said Michael Foss, Chief Executive Officer of Sports Authority.

“Our partnership with Ripken Baseball to host clinics has given Sports Authority an opportunity to provide educational programs that not only enrich the lives of youth but also the communities where they play.”

Ripken Baseball and Sports Authority instructors will lead the clinics in Orlando on January 30 and St. Petersburg on February 6 during morning (9am–12pm) and afternoon (1–4pm) sessions. The first 150 youth players, ages 6–12, who register online will be guaranteed a spot in one of the two sessions per day.

The events are also open to parents, friends and members of the community who are interested in supporting and taking part in the day’s events.
