Launching in March of 2016, East Orlando Post and Seminole County Post will release our first print publication, highlighting Central Florida’s top leaders in 2016.
By Jacob Engels
For several years, I have toyed with the idea of releasing a “Most Powerful” list in print format, but did not feel it was the right time until now. Coming off a wonderful first year for Seminole County Post and a blockbuster second year for East Orlando Post, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to announce “Insight 100”.
Unlike other magazines and leadership rankings released by pay-to-play publications, “Insight 100” will be built from nominations from our readers in the state of Florida and Central Florida community. This list won’t be decided by a panel of “leaders” or the same tired group of people who dictate each and every other “Most Powerful” ranking in our area and the state.
Our selection, based on input from our readers, will continue on as a monthly “power ranking” until our publication of the 2nd edition of “Insight 100”.
We will focus on the following areas: Politics, Business, Governmental & Lobbying, Arts, and Non-Profit, Religious, and Community Leaders. Insight 100 will also feature an “Underachievers” section that will highlight some Central Florida leaders who have not realized their full potential as of late.
To nominate an individual for “Insight 100”, please email me personally at engelsja@gmail.com and CC info@eastorlandopost.com .
Nominations will run from now until January 25th. Please include a few sentences on why you think the person you are nominating should be selected and which category is most appropriate.
Name, occupation, employers, office address, current place of residence (City, County, etc.), phone number, email address, website, social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, elected office (if any), political affiliation, education, non-profit/volunteer/boards currently or previously affiliated with.
