Orlando native Caskey, one of Cash Money/Republic records hottest young artists is finishing up an extensive North American tour to promote his new mixtape…Black Sheep 2. Caskey, who made waves when he landed a contract and six-figure payday with Birdman’s Cash Money records, has collaborated with the likes of Flo Rida, Maching Gun Kelly, Riff Raff and more.
Dude has got some insane lyrical talent… not to mention a nice body of work (tatted to the max, but not trashy). Would be nice to see him back in the studio with Bezz Believe again soon.
Our interview with Orlando’s favorite son is below.
How he feels about performing his last tour show at home in Orlando.
This is show it the one I’m most excited for because I’m finally home. I have friends and family coming out, so it’s gonna be extra special because they don’t get to see me on the road. When I got home, I rode my Harley all fucking day yesterday (laughs).
What makes Orlando fans special.
I think my fans out here differ from my other fans because not a lot of people have done a lot with music from Orlando. I think I represent an inspiration to them, giving them hope, that you can do great things coming out of this city.
About his current mixtape, Black Sheep 2.
Black Sheep 2 was my funnest project yet. It’s something for you to listen all the way through. I got a chance to actually vibe with Birdman on this project. He’s on the project and he was really involved this time around, so that was great. It’s definitely my best work to date in my opinion. I did it over a month at my house, in my own studio, with the homies.
What to expect from Caskey in the future.
Now that Black Sheep 2 is out and the tour is ending, you can expect me to a drop a new music video every week until the end the year.
