SquareTrade, a company that currently has 300 employees, quietly opened its Orlando office in September, initially having 50 people on board for its new 16,766-square-foot office space at 5900 Lake Ellenor Drive. But the company is currently on a hiring spree to hire 50 more people by the end of this year and 50 people next year.
“We hope to have 150 employees in Orlando by the end of next year,” John Whelan, SquareTrade’s vice president of customer experience told the Orlando Business Journal. “We narrowed it down to four locations where we would like to expand, and Orlando stood out. I think the quality of the work force we can attract and having a university nearby was a draw for us.”
