DeBary Tech Entrepreneur Wins Big On ABC’s “Shark Tank”

    Central Florida startup company Signal Vault won big on the season premiere of ABC TV’s Shark Tank Friday night. The anti-hacking company based in Seminole County landed key investments from sharks Lori Greiner and Rob Herjavec on the show, which aired on Friday night at 9 p.m with guest star Ashton Kutcher.

     

    It was a defining moment for entrepreneur Chris Gilpin, 34, of DeBary. He secured $200,000 of new investment for his product, a simple card that goes in your wallet to block hackers that may sweep areas electronically to pick up data from new EMV credit cards. “A truly amazing night!” Gilpin said following the broadcast.

     

    “The words haven’t been invented yet for how I’m feeling in this moment.” Gilpin scored a huge success on national TV, on a show that’s been reported to have more than 9 million viewers in recent broadcasts.
