Okay, this is another one that we have to cut straight to the chase for. If you’ve read my articles before, you know there is only one reason I cut to the chase: because the lineup is so damn good that I can’t do my usual fluff-piece before the breakdown. If you’ve really read my articles, you know there is one other reason that trumps all other reasons: Paul Mc-freaking-Cartney. Lollapalooza, held annually in Chicago, had one of the strongest lineups of last year, featuring Eminem, Outkast, Kings Of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Skrillex, Lorde, Foster The People, Childish Gambino, Cage The Elephant, and a bevy of other bad-asses. This year… somehow it managed to get even better:

ALL HAIL THE KING! Music legend Paul McCartney will shine his light on Chicago this summer! Along with legendary metal-heads Metallica, these two acts alone already take Lolla’s lineup to the top of the crop for Summer 2015. Florence + The Machine offer up their strong feminine indie sound as the festival’s third headliner. Bassnectar will make the fairgrounds shake with his crazy bass, while Alt-J’s lyrics, electronic harmonies, and creativeness will lull you in to a daze. Blues rockers Alabama Shakes promise to tear it up with Brittany Howard’s vocals and the band’s phenomenal presence. Tame Impala’s psychedelic insanity is another great addition to any festival! There are plenty of middle-downs and lower-downs that are awesome too: TV On The Radio (indie rock), Kaskade (house), Brand New (post-hardcore/emo), NERO (dubstep), Marina And The Diamonds (indie pop), Boys Noize (electro house), Glass Animals (indie/psychadelic), Moon Taxi (prog/jam), Peking Duk (house), Black Tiger Sex Machine (electro), Gogol Bordello (gypsy punk), and so many more!

This lineup is solid as hell. Sounds like a very promising three day music experience for any festival junkie! Let’s put it to the scale. On the Croix scale from Bad to Bad-Ass, Lollapalooze 2015’s lineup is definitely:

    Overall: Bad-Ass!

Head to the Windy City this July 31 – August 2 for three days of ground-shaking, ear-blasting, mosh-worthy music at this bad-ass festival!
