Moments ago on facebook, Tim Anderson who sits on the selection committee for the Florida Film Festival announced that Lars Von Trier’s explicit sex drama was coming to Orlando by way of the Enzian Theater in Maitland. Anderson also runs the Enzian’s popular FilmSlam.

“I was approached during the FFF this year, with my opinion on how to pull this off. Rumors began and now I am thrilled to confirm. Enzian will be showing back to back screenings of Lars Von Trier’s magnum sex opus! NYMPHOMANIAC I & II on 5/16 and 5/17. Get your tickets now!!!! This will be your ONLY chance to see this film in a theater in Orlando!

Anderson told the East Orlando Post that demand had been mounting for Enzian to show Nymphomaniac.

“Magnolia is the distributor and Enzian books a ton of Magnolia films. It was just logistically difficult because it’s a 4 hour movie,” explained Anderson.

Our sources at Enzian tell us that this was a very community driven decision, citing a full court press by Enzian members and filmgoers in the Orlando area to bring Nymphomaniac to Central Florida. Matthew Curtis, the Enzian Programming Director ended up securing the film after brainstorming with the top brass and fellow staff at the Ezian on how to show the film – in one night playing volumes 1 and 2 back to back, or broken up over two nights. The Enzian thought showing each volume on a different night was the best option.

So what posters will they be putting up in the bathrooms at Enzian for Nymphomaniac? Here is my pick. H/T to Christopher Collins for bringing up a very PROBING question that needs answering.
