The Search For Delicious and Healthy

    Not long ago, my wife and I changed our lifestyle and made a commitment to eat healthier.  That change coincided with my search to buy into a smaller, on-trend franchise business.  I looked at 50 different concepts, visited 27 of them, and eventually selected Fresh To Order.

    I’ve spent the past 21 years working in the restaurant industry.  In that time, I’ve seen a lot of restaurant concepts come and go and rarely get excited for a new brand.  That is until I came across Fresh To Order. 

     

    Fresh To Order was founded in 2006 and is the pioneer of the “fast fine” restaurant segment, a growing concept that combines the quality of food found in casual fine dining with the price point of fast casual.  As a restaurant entrepreneur and former Golden Corral franchisee, that is exactly what I was looking for as I searched for a new concept to partner with.  It is a restaurant that speaks to people who care about great tasting, affordable food that is also good for them. 

     

    We offer our guests a highly refined cuisine, an upscale environment, and an enhanced service level that previously couldn’t be found within the operating platforms and price points of the ever-popular fast casual segment. Our guests can choose from a carefully crafted selection of non-alcoholic beverages, or beer and wine, which can be paired with a menu of chef-inspired, delicious flame-grilled entrees, Panini sandwiches, and soups and salads – all of which are freshly prepared on premise and served within 10 minutes for about $10. Recently named a Nation’s Restaurant News 50 Breakout Brand, Fresh To Order was characterized as being a “hot culinary concept,” and having a “healthful bent,” which features “premium products.”  All of these benefits really spoke to me in my restaurant search.

    I also admired that Fresh To Order is a member of the National Restaurant Association’s Kids LiveWell program, a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to help parents make the healthful choice the easy choice for their children when dining out. It’s so important that we instill healthy eating habits early, and the Kids LiveWell menu introduce kids to healthy eating options from a young age.  All Kids LiveWell choices meet nutrition criteria based on leading health organizations’ scientific recommendations, including the USDA Dietary Guidelines.  I’m proud of this accomplishment and feel strongly about it.

     

    I, of course, love all of our food, but I especially like all of our salad options.  Plus, the almond crusted chicken and Ahi tuna are also favorites of mine.  On the Kids LifeWell menu, you can find similar great tasting options like seared salmon and rice and grilled chicken.

     

    I am so happy to introduce the Orlando community to Fresh To Order.  I came to the United States 21 years ago and have called Orlando home since then.  I live here, I raised my kids here, and I feel passionately about providing our community with a great family restaurant that is affordable and healthy.  I invite all of my fellow Orlando residents to stop by and taste for yourself our great menu at our Waterford Lakes location in East Orlando.
