Peter Vivaldi has announced the endorsement of another powerful Hispanic leader. Vivaldi announced on his facebook page earlier today that Anthony “Tony” Suarez, an influential lawyer and political leader in the Central Florida Hispanic community and beyond.
Suarez, the immediate past President of the San Juan Hill Republican Club and former Chairman of the Seminole County Democratic Party also served in the Florida House of Representatives as a Democrat. Suarez is a good get for Vivaldi who is in a contested primary with 2 other candidates, all of which hope to face the bombastic Alan Grayson in Florida’s 9th Congressional District in the 2014 elections.
The release from Vivaldi’s website is below –
Orlando powerhouse Attorney Anthony “Tony” Suarez is the newest member to join #TeamVivaldi.
Suarez, who served as the Chairman of the Seminole County Democratic Party and as a member of the Florida State House of Representatives, is heavily involved in the Puerto Rican community in Central Florida – especially when it comes to politics.
He currently serves as the President of the Puerto Rican Bar Association of Florida and was the President of the San Juan Hill San Republican Club in 2013.
Anthony “Tony” Suarez had the following to say about our campaign –
“I have known Peter Vivaldi for a long time and have had the opportunity to work with him in numerous capacities. I know him to be a man of character, integrity and most of all – a man of faith. I can call him a friend and know that he will do great things for us in Congress.”
Mr. Suarez joins Orange County Commissioner Pete Clarke, former Congressman and Governor of Puerto Rico Carlos Romero Barcelo, and countless residents of Central Florida who are already on #TeamVivaldi.
“I am thrilled to have the endorsement of one of Central Florida’s finest attorneys, Anthony Suarez. Mr. Suarez has vast experience not only in the legal realm, but has held political office. I know I can learn a lot from him and looking forward to working alongside him in defeating Alan Grayson in 2014.” said Vivaldi.
