Remember a few weeks ago when I told you about the incomparable, sexy, and talented up & coming local actress Croix Provence? Well, Croix is sparking my interest yet again with the launch of a Kickstarter campaign for her new web-series “Fame Bound.”

Provence who will star in the web series along with local talent Tatiana Paris, Rebecca Galarza, and Vampire Diaries alum Aaron Jay Rome. Croix will play the lead role of Melissa Brooks opposite Tatiana Paris who will play Anber Allen. Aaron Jay Rome will play Flint Foxx alongside Rebecca Galarza’s “Katarina Costello” character.

A little bit more about the project from the web series Kickstarter campaign —

“Fame Bound” is a dark comedy following Melissa ‘Mel’ Brooks and Anber Allen as they pursue fame. With no real talent or theatrical background (well, except for that one thing Mel did, but you’ll learn about that in the show), the girls are optimistic in a world full of glitter, blackmail, sleaze-balls, and breakfast wine coolers. Imagine if Tina Fey and Amy Poehler starred in “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” and wanted to be celebrities; that’s the feel of “Fame Bound.”

The web series will be a SAG or Screen Actors Guild series because of the pariticpation of SAG actor Aaron Jay Rome. Croix Provence is currently awaiting her induction into the Screen Actors Guild.

Reached by text message late last weekend, Provence told the East Orlando Post that the kickstarter campaign has been receiving support from all over the country and is picking up steam.

“People are really liking the concept behind “Fame Bound.” It’s been a really fun project to conceptulize and we can’t wait to bring it to life. We got just about half a month to get it fully funded and we are feeling pretty good about hitting that goal.”
