Controversial “Islamic Threat” UCF Professor To Speak At Orlando Republican Women’s Meeting

Months after he ignited a firestorm with his proposed remarks to the Pinellas County Republican Executive Committee Meeting (which were cancelled after criticism from local republicans) UCF Professor Jonathan Matusitz is slated to deliver his “The Islamic Threat to America” presentation to the Orlando Republican Women’s Network on Novermber 1st from 11:30AM to 1PM at The University Club.

In a meeting reminder sent out by Orange County Republican Executive Committee, Shirley Sims of the Orlando Republican Women’s Network bills it as an event that you will not want to miss and one that you should bring your family and friends to.

Hassan Shibly, an attorney and Executive Director of CAIR Florida had this to say about Matusitz’s upcoming meeting with the Orlando Republican Women’s Network —

“We certainly hope that his hateful anti-Muslim teachings do not represent the thoughts of the Republican party locally. He has the right to promote his hateful views. Many members of the Muslim community who are involved in the Republican party are starting to realize how their party is turning against them by allowing people like Dr. Matusitz to continue spreading his anti-Muslim hate.”

Dr. Jonathan Matusitz on his speech –

“My presentation consists of presenting facts on the threats posed by jihad and sharia in the United States.”

Will the Orlando Republican Women’s Network cave and disinvite the controversial UCF professor or stand their ground? What say you Orange County Republicans?
