The East Orlando Chapter of Moms RUN This Town is a FREE Running Club for Moms! Well, all women really! Started in mid-April, the group has now grown to 80 members in just two months. There are over 500 local chapters nationwide and growing!
Moms RUN This Town is a running club for moms to support and motivate each other in their running journeys. It doesn’t matter if you are a walker or a runner…. someone who has never raced before or a marathoner… a mom to humans or a mom to pets. Their goal is to surround you with like-minded women who have a passion for staying healthy!
The East Orlando chapter includes all areas of Orange County including Waterford Lakes, UCF/Alafaya area, Avalon Park, Rio Pinar, Conway, Lake Nona, Azalea Park, Union Park, Winter Park, Baldwin Park, Downtown/College Park, Wedgefield, Bithlo, Chuluota and the areas in between!
The group has meetups for group runs 1-2 times a week at various locations and races plus monthly strength challenges. Jogging strollers are welcome at group runs. Some Moms are just beginning the C25k (Couch to 5k) program and other Moms are marathon runners; there’s really a wide variety of paces. This month’s challenge is squats and abs and there’s a giveaway at the end!
