Over the next couple of weeks, we will be featuring stories on local summer camps and uploading a directory of local camps taking place this summer. That list is posted here. Next up is Gusso Golf Academy’s Junior Camp. Below is a Q&A with Gusso Golf Academy founder Jered Gusso.
What is the Gusso Golf Academy’s Junior Camp?
We offer 3-day and 5-day camps, which feature a variety of golf activities that provide a fun and challenging learning environment for kids of all skill levels. Beginners will learn etiquette, basic rules, putting, chipping, pitching, full swing, and course management. Intermediate to advanced players will build on their fundamentals while improving specific areas of their game.
Tell us why your camp would be a good choice for both parents and kids?
Our camps are designed to use the game of golf as a tool to teach patience, manners, sportsmanship, honesty, integrity, nutrition and fitness. All instruction is lead by the Director of Instruction, Jered Gusso, who previously taught at the Mike Bender Golf Academy, which is rated as a top 25 best golf school in America by Golf Digest. All instructors and mentors are specifically chosen by Jered and possess qualities that allow them to relate with junior golfers in a unique way.
Are their additional programs for continuing education?
Yes, we have junior programs for all kids from ages 5-17 years old ranging from beginner elite. We will help kids find the right program for their needs depending their skill level and goals. Our monthly programs start at $60 per month.
How can parents get in touch with you to register or find out more?
