With the Avalon Yard Sale (billed as Orlando’s Biggest Yard Sale) happening this Saturday, I wanted to allow the founder to give us an update and share my recommendations for which sales you should check out.
When called for comment on the status of this year’s event, Chris Carroll, who founded the Avalon Yard Sale seven years ago, said this —
“We have seen a spike in people signing up on our site as we get closer. We will easily have 100 homes or more participating this year. Anyone is allowed to submit their sale, big or small, there is no rubric. We do ask however, that homes pay a $4 fee to help us cover the permitting costs required to organize the sale legally”.
Carroll, who lives in Avalon Park with his wife Jackie and their 5 kids, also runs the Orlando Adoption Network along with his wife. It is one of the largest adoption networks in the state.
